Manchester United Unveil ’90s-Inspired Away Kit to Fan Delight
Manchester United have released their new away kit, and it has gone down a storm with fans. The blue jersey was modeled by stars including Alejandro Garnacho, Marcus Rashford, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, one of seven aces on the chopping block.
Alejandro Garnacho, one of United’s biggest stars, looked striking in the new kit. Questions arose about whether Aaron Wan-Bissaka will wear this kit in a competitive game.
Ella Toone struck a pose, while Luke Shaw seemed to enjoy the design. Supporters were delighted with the social media reveаl, with comments like, “It’s breathtaking hope AWB is staying,” “It’s a bаnger,” “Absolutely beautiful,” and “This one too fine.”
Inspired by the club’s kits of the 90s, adidas and Manchester United revealed the 24/25 away shirt, featuring an all-over graphic built around a bespoke ‘M’ design, nodding to popular shirts from the era. The royal blue, textural element – applied as a series of repeated circular patterns atop a navy-blue base – pays homage to the 3D monograms frequently seen on Manchester United kits from 30 years ago.
The design also pays tribute to the three rivers that flow through Manchester – the Irk, Medlock, and Irwell. Three lighter shades of blue run through the polo club collar, connecting fans and players to the club’s home while playing in away colors.
An adidas statement revealed: “With a bold design that nods to football culture, this adidas Manchester United jersey looks equally at home on and off the pitch. Silver details pop against an indigo base that also includes a subtle, repeating ‘M’ monogram. The light blue graphic on that stylish polo collar pays tribute to the river on which Old Trafford sits. Ventilating HEAT.RDY ensures this long sleeve authentic shirt is ready for big away performances.”
Leah Galton brought her own sleeves, adding a personal touch to the kit.
Manchester United have a new shirt sponsor, marking another change for the upcoming season.
