Manchester United have officially announced the signing of Lille’s young talent, Leny Yoro.
The 18-year-old centre-back finalized his medical on Thursday after the clubs agreed on a £52 million transfer fee.
Yoro, one of the most promising prospects in French football, has joined Manchester United, marking their second signing of the transfer window.
The centre-back, who recently inked a five-year deal with the club, expressed his excitement: “Joining a club with Manchester United’s history and ambition so early in my career is a tremendous honor. Following the £36.5 million acquisition of Dutch forward Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna, Yoro becomes United’s second signing under Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Yoro made his debut for Lille’s first team last year and played 32 matches in the previous season. Major European clubs, including Real Madrid and Liverpool, had shown significant interest in him.
