Man Utd Stars Alejandro Garnacho Sᴜrprise Visit Loreto High School Stᴜdents

After the 2022–23 season, Manchester United players Alejandro Garnacho and Fred made an unannounced visit to Loreto High School in Chorlton, a school supported by the Manchester United Foundation.

Garnacho and Fred were accompanied by Loreto staff, including Romeo, the Foundation’s High School Partnership officer, and they engaged excited students in various classes. Alejandro led a Spanish lesson before Fred participated in a library Q&A session with sports executives.

Following that, they played football and engaged in girls’ rounders outside for PE, which the students thoroughly enjoyed. The players spoke to around 100 students and teachers for over an hour.

Reflecting on his first formal school visit with the club, Garnacho told ManUtd.com: “I really enjoyed meeting everyone on my first visit to a Foundation school and learning more about their important community programs. I enjoyed visiting the Spanish class and sharing how much immersion has improved my language skills.”

Fred enjoyed chatting with local kids during his PFA Community Champion duty. He said, “I’ve enjoyed my time at Loreto today. Getting to know the kids and supporting the Foundation was invaluable. Seeing kids ask lots of questions and be confident on the field was encouraging. I hope our presence today inspires them to keep going.”
