OFFICIALLY: Fabrizio Romano confirms Cristiano Ronaldo’s move to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has shed light on Cristiano Ronaldo’s future amid rumors of his possible move to Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.

Romano confirmed that no such transfer will be made this summer, and reiterated that the 39-year-old striker is happy at Al Nassr.

Recent speculation suggests that Ronaldo is eager to reunite with his former Real Madrid teammate, Alonso, at the Bundesliga club. However, Romano denied these claims, affirming that Bayer Leverkusen did not pursue Ronaldo.

According to him, the Portuguese captain has no intention of leaving his current club Al Nassr: “We also have some interesting rumors about Ronaldo and Bayer Leverkusen because of his strong relationship with Xabi Alonso .”

Ronaldo is still playing sublimely.

“They are good friends, but no – Leverkusen did not make this deal , no one negotiated to sign Ronaldo because he is very happy at Al Nassr and has no intention of changing teams.”

Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr will expire in the summer of 2025. He moved to the Middle East after ending his contract with Man United at the end of 2022.
