Chelsea midfielder Cole Palmer has won the Premier League Player of the Year award for the 2023/24 season, as voted by fans through the Professional Footballers’ Association (PFA). The 22-year-old Palmer enjoyed a stellar season with Chelsea, scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in the Premier League.

Former Manchester City star Palmer played a crucial role in Chelsea’s success throughout the season, notably in the final stages where he helped the club secure a place in the Europa League for the 2024/25 season in remarkable fashion. For his outstanding performances, Palmer clinched the PFA’s Premier League Player of the Year award, beating out other notable contenders such as Manchester City’s trio Phil Foden, Rodri, and Erling Haaland, as well as Martin Odegaard, Declan Rice, William Saliba of Arsenal, and Ollie Watkins of Aston Villa.

This award is a well-deserved recognition of Palmer’s individual contributions. Prior to this, Palmer had already won three other prestigious individual awards, including the Premier League Young Player of the Year for the 2023/24 season, Chelsea’s Men’s Player of the Season, and Chelsea’s Player of the Season.

After an impressive season, Palmer has been called up by England manager Gareth Southgate to represent the Three Lions at EURO 2024. As one of the brightest prospects, the 22-year-old midfielder is set to play a significant role for England in the tournament held in Germany this summer.
