In a heartfelt revelation, Enzo Fernandez shared the struggles he faced over the past eight months, dealing with pain and undergoing numerous injections. The Chelsea star made the difficult decision to undergo surgery, believing it was the best course of action for his current well-being.
“I’ve been battling pain and undergoing injections for the past eight months,” Fernandez said. “That’s why I decided to have surgery, as it’s the best thing for me right now. I feel that I have compromised Chelsea’s strength by trying to play when my body wasn’t at its best. I wanted to keep this injury to myself and not let it affect the team’s morale.”
Fernandez assured his supporters that he is on the mend and that there’s no need for alarm. “I’m okay; everyone can calmly accept this news from me. I’m improving every day and am extremely excited about the upcoming Copa America. I’ve started training on the field, and my recovery is progressing well. I hope to train with the Argentina National Team soon.”
The midfielder also expressed his anxieties about the forthcoming tournament. “I’m very anxious about the Copa America because it will be my first time playing there.”
In his conversation with Christian Martin on D Sports, Enzo Fernandez provided a candid look into his journey through injury, surgery, and his hopeful outlook as he aims to return stronger for his national team and the highly anticipated Copa America.
