Free agents Kawhi Leonard and Kevin Durant are entertaining options that could see them play for the same team in the future, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
As Woj notes, the two teams seriously in play here are the Los Angeles Clippers and the New York Knicks.
Once free agency officially opens at 6 p.m. ET on Sunday, then both teams can formally engage in conversations with two of the league’s most sought-after players.
In addition to the Clippers and Knicks, Leonard is set to meet with the Los Angeles Lakers and the Toronto Raptors, who he led to their first NBA title earlier this month. As previously reported, the reigning Finals MVP’s camp requested a meeting between Leonard and former Lakers exec Magic Johnson.
As for Durant, the two-time champion will be entertaining offers from the Warriors, Clippers, Knicks and Brooklyn Nets.
