Real Madrid’s Young Talent Called Up to Face Cádiz: Testing a Vital New Strategy?

A highly-regarded member of the youth setup at La Liga giants Real Madrid was spotted training alongside the club’s first-team squad on Friday.

The player in question? Jeremy de León.

The name of attacker De León has of course positioned itself front and centre in the media chatter in Spain’s capital over the course of recent weeks.

This comes after the January arrival was afforded a spot on the plane for Real’s Champions League trips to both Manchester, and Munich.

De León, for his part, is not even eligible to take to the pitch in European competition this season, but, when drawn on his sudden emergence during a recent press conference, Carlo Ancelotti was adamant that the 20-year-old has earned his place:

“I spoke with Raúl. He told me that he is serious, hardworking and with a lot of quality.”

Ahead of Real Madrid’s return to action on Saturday, it should in turn come as little surprise to hear of De León, once again, taking his place amongst Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded ranks.
