The Los Angeles Clippers fell to the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night, losing by the final score of 101-90.

After the Clippers took Game 1 of the first-round series, they’ve dropped two consecutive contests and now face a 2-1 series deficit.

Paul George struggled to find any type of shooting rhythm, connecting on just three of his 11 shots from the field which included a 1-6 mark from three-point range. He finished the game with a mere seven points and five rebounds in 30 minutes of action.

Russell Westbrook scored just one point in his 19 minutes on the floor, missing all seven of his shot attempts. He recorded three rebounds and one assist while committing two turnovers. The 35-year-old was ejected in the middle of the fourth quarter after an altercation with Mavericks forward P.J. Washington, who also received his second technical foul.

Fans pointed out the poor performances from Westbrook and George in the Clippers’ disappointing loss.

Luka Dončić nearly finished with a triple-double despite a subpar shooting night, racking up 22 points and 10 rebounds while dishing out nine assists.

Now, the Clippers will need to secure a Game 3 win in Dallas as they look to avoid a daunting 3-1 deficit. If that occurs, Los Angeles would be on the verge of losing its second consecutive first-round series after entering the year with contending expectations.
