Lionel Messi’s 11-year-old son Thiago showed he is destined for greatness with a superb goal to win the Easter International Cup for Inter Miami U12s

Thiago played a key role in a team alongside Luis Suarez’s son Benjamin, aged 10, as they competed in a tournament organized by Rayados in Kissimmee, Florida. Out of 300 participating teams, including 30 international squads, Miami’s U12 team advanced to the final match against Florida Kraze. In a commanding performance, the Herons secured a 4-0 victory in the final, with Thiago, sporting his father’s renowned No.10 jersey, scoring a remarkable goal to secure the championship medal for his team.

As Messi and Suarez Jr. savor their initial taste of triumph with Miami, their fathers are gearing up for a shot at CONCACAF Champions Cup glory later on Wednesday. The Herons will welcome Liga MX powerhouse CF Monterrey in the first leg of their quarter-final, with Suarez poised to play a pivotal role. While it reмɑιns uncertain if Messi has recuperated from his hamstring ιnjᴜry to make the starting XI, his Uruguayan counterpart has expressed confidence that Miami can secure victory even in his absence.

Whether starting or coming off the bench, it appears probable that Messi will play a role against Monterrey after resuming training on Tuesday. Miami is aiming to claim only their second-ever trophy, following last season’s Leagues Cup victory, in which Messi played a pivotal role.
