Jayson Tatum Shares Joyful and Peaceful Moments Golfing with His Son

NBA standout Jayson Tatum, along with his Boston Celtics teammate Jon Rahm, recently took part in the FedEx St. Jude Championship Pro-Am. Despite Tatum’s extensive experience in golf, this marked his debut appearance in a PGA TOUR pro-am event. Tatum confessed to feeling nervous and experiencing sleepless nights leading up to the game, particularly due to the prоꜱpect of playing alongside Rahm.

Ahead of his pro-am debut at TPC Southwind in Memphis, we had the chance to speak with the 6-foot-11-inch forward, Tatum, about his golf bag setup. Notably, Tatum opts for extra-large grips to accommodate his unusually large hands. His bag includes a customized Scotty Cameron TourType SSS putter, affectionately named “Deuce” after his son Jayson Jr. Additionally, he utilizes a mixed set of irons, carries a baby blue Jordan brand golf bag adorned with his “JT” emblem, and, as per his stepfather and caddie, he continues to experiment with new PXG irons. To personalize his equipment further, Tatum’s Titleist golf ball, dubbed the “Big Deuce,” features his own stamped emblem.
