According to Tuttomercatoweb, Chelsea has entered the race to sign Raoul Bellanova from Torino, competing with Manchester United, West Ham, and Aston Villa.
Bellanova, primarily a right-back but capable of playing on the left flank as well, has been a consistent performer at various youth levels for Italy. Recently, he made his debut for the senior team in a friendly against Ecuador, where Italy secured a 2-0 victory. Bellanova’s impressive performance earned him accolades from the Italian media, further increasing his attractiveness to Premier League clubs.
Torino acquired Bellanova from Cagliari for €7 million last summer, a shrewd move considering his significant contributions in Serie A, including one goal and five assists in 28 appearances.
Scouts from Manchester United, West Ham United, and Aston Villa have been monitoring Bellanova throughout the season. Now, with Chelsea joining the pursuit, he is viewed as a potential replacement for Reece James.
Bellanova, a product of Milan’s youth academy, has had stints at Girondins de Bordeaux, Atalanta, Pescara, and Cagliari.
