Jayson Tatum scored 26 points, Sam Hauser and Al Horford added 23 apiece, and the NBA-leading Boston Celtics won their ninth straight, 124-113 over the Chicago Bulls

Hauser was responsible for seven of Boston’s 21 3-pointers, while Horford managed to Һιt 5 out of 10 from long range. Derrick White contributed 17 points, with Payton Pritchard adding 15 points along with eight assists. Despite Jaylen Brown and Kristaps Porzingis sitting out due to injuries, the Celtics came within two wins of their season-best streak.

Boston surged ahead by eight points early in the fourth quarter with a nine-point streak, and they maintained their lead till the end. Luke Kornet’s tip-in and a layup by Tatum extended their lead to 117-107 with 3:04 remaining.

DeMar DeRozan led Chicago with 26 points, while Alex Caruso, Nikola Vucevic, and Ayo Dosunmu each contributed 14 points as the Bulls suffered their second consecutive defeat.

Chicago’s Dalen Terry electrified the crowd with a powerful tip-in dunk late in the third quarter, giving the Bulls a one-point lead. However, Boston responded with a nine-point run led by Pritchard, pushing their lead to 100-92 early in the fourth quarter.

Tatum scored 19 points and Hauser added 14 as Boston took a 66-60 halftime lead, fueled by their Һоt shooting from beyond the arc.

The Celtics made 13 of 27 3-point attempts, with Hauser making 4 of 5 and Horford hitting three. Tatum’s jump shot and a 3-pointer extended Boston’s lead to 66-55 before White’s 3-pointer brought the Bulls within six points.

Javonte Green signed a 10-day contract with the Bulls, marking his second stint with the team after previously being traded from Boston in March 2021. Green had played 10 games this season for Golden State’s G League affiliate.
