Reports from Italy suggest that Manchester United could be in a stronger position to secure the signing of Juventus defender Gleison Bremer this summer.
United’s interest in the Brazil international has been noted by his longtime followers, with reports indicating that the club aims to complete its defensive overhaul before the current campaign concludes. Gleison Bremer is purportedly the top choice for prospective new sports director Dan Ashworth.
Earlier rumors reported by TEAMtalk suggest that United has readied a significant bid of €60 million (£51.4 million) for the central defender. It seems Juventus is now more open to the possibility of a deal.
According to Italian publication Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus is preparing to find a replacement for Bremer in the summer transfer window. Their top target is Bologna player Riccardo Calafiori. If Juventus can secure Calafiori’s signature, it could pave the way for Bremer’s move to Old Trafford.
