Argentina National Team ᴜnveιls 2024 Copa América Jersey Inspired by 2022 World Cup Victory of Lionel Messi and Co

The Argentina national team has unveiled a fresh jersey intended for wear during the 2024 Copa América in the United States this summer, featuring design cues inspired by La Albiceleste’s victorious campaign in the 2022 World Cup, where Lionel Messi and his teammates emerged triumphant. The shirt pays homage to their iconic sky blue and white vertical stripes, now accented with gold trimmings reminiscent of their historic win over France in the final held in Lusail in December 2022.

Adidas has adopted the tagline “Nuestros campeones, nuestra camiseta” (“Our champions, our shirt”) to promote the jersey, which will make its debut during the friendly match against El Salvador in Philadelphia on Friday, March 22nd. Argentina is scheduled to showcase the jersey in subsequent warm-up matches against Costa Rica in Los Angeles on Tuesday, March 26th, and against Guatemala in WаsҺinɡton D.C. on June 13th, leading up to the Copa América.

Heading into the summer tournament, Lionel Scaloni’s squad is considered favorites to clinch a third consecutive international title, following their victories in the 2021 Copa América and the previous World Cup. In the memorable final three years ago, Ángel Di María secured the win with the sole goal against Brazil at the Maracanã in Rio de Janeiro. In the forthcoming edition, La Albiceleste will commence the group stage against either Trinidad and Tobago or Canada, who will compete for a spot in the tournament, in Atlanta on June 20th, followed by matches against Chile in New Jersey on June 25th and Peru in Miami Gardens on June 29th.
