Alvarez added to the lead just four minutes later, benefiting from an error by Copenhagen’s goalkeeper, Kamil Grabara. Despite a goal from former Southampton player Mohamed Elyounoussi in the 29th minute, City’s prolific scorer, Haaland, sealed the victory with his 29th goal of the season just before halftime. Although Rico Lewis had a late chance for a fourth goal, hitting the bar with his shot, City’s quarterfinal opponents will be revealed in the draw on March 15.
