The Arsenal vs Chelsea match scheduled for March 16th at the Emirates Stadium has officially been postponed, and the rescheduled date is yet to be announced.

Following their 4-1 victory over Newcastle, Arsenal will be away to Sheffield United in the 27th round of the Premier League and then return home to face Brentford in the 28th round. The team from London will then host Chelsea at home in the focal point match of the 29th round.

According to the original schedule, the Arsenal vs Chelsea match was set to take place on March 16th. However, with Chelsea’s recent 3-2 victory over Leeds United in the FA Cup fifth round, securing their spot in the quarterfinals, the clash between The Blues and The Gunners has been postponed.

As per Arsenal’s official website, instead of facing Arsenal on March 16th, Chelsea will host Leicester City at Stamford Bridge in the FA Cup quarterfinals. The rescheduled fixture date has not been officially announced by the Premier League organizers.

Consequently, after the second-leg clash against Porto in the Champions League Round of 16 on March 13th, Mikel Arteta’s squad will have a break until March 31st when they face Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium. This break is due to international team commitments.

The postponement of the Chelsea match provides an opportunity for Arteta’s team to accumulate energy before the challenging encounter with Manchester City at the end of March. It also allows key players for the London club to recover from injuries.

Currently, Arsenal occupies the 3rd position in the Premier League, trailing 2nd-placed Manchester City by 1 point and league leaders Liverpool by approximately 2 points.
