Mundo Deportivo reports that Al-Qadisiyah, a second-division team in Saudi Arabia, made a substantial offer to secure the services of Spain international Sergi Roberto. However, the versatile Barcelona player declined the proposal, reportedly citing personal reasons for rejecting the move. Al-Qadisiyah, aiming for promotion to the Saudi Pro League in the upcoming season, had envisioned a bold strategy to acquire Roberto’s talents, but the player opted against the transfer.

Sergi Roberto’s existing contract with Barcelona is set to conclude in the summer. While Xavi had previously supported a contract extension for Roberto, the departure of the Blaugrana manager at the end of the season makes it appear improbable that the 32-year-old player will commit to a new agreement.

Following the acquisition of former Barcelona players Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, and Luis Suarez, in addition to Lionel Messi, Major League Soccer (MLS) team Inter Miami is reportedly interested in securing the services of Roberto, as per various sources. Roberto himself has communicated his aspiration to join MLS in the coming years.
