Jude Bellingham, a prominent player from England, has the opportunity to win the Breakthrough of the Year award in Madrid, his hometown, after the nominees were announced.

Manchester City, managed by Pep Guardiola, are likely to be the frontrunners for the Laureus Team of the Year award following their outstanding performance in 2023.

Laureus announced the candidates for the 25th edition of their World Sports Awards on Monday morning following voting from 1,300 journalists and broadcasters worldwide.

The winners will be revealed during the ceremony in the Spanish capital on April 22 after discussions by the Laureus World Sports Academy, which consists of legendary athletes from the past and present.
