Man City Predicted Line-up vs. Brentford: Four Changes Expected from Chelsea Draw – Preview Gallery

For Tuesday night’s Premier League matchup against Brentford, Pep Guardiola may choose to shuffle his team.

Only fifteen days have passed since the Blues and Reds played at Gtech Community Stadium, where the Blues prevailed 3-1 due to a hat-trick from Phil Foden. For City, it marked the beginning of a hectic month that will include six games in just 18 days.

Guardiola previously acknowledged that City would have to rotate during that time, but he has a lot of alternatives if he wants to make changes because the only injured players are Josko Gvardiol and Jack Grealish.

After being used as substitutes the previous game, Rico Lewis, John Stones, Mateo Kovacic, and Matheus Nunes could be utilised again in the starting lineup. Although Oscar Bobb and Sergio Gomez were also on the bench, it is unlikely that they will start, and Bernardo Silva only played for the last 25 minutes of that 1-1 draw with Chelsea.

Guardiola cautioned his players in Monday’s news conference not to anticipate an easier task against a Brentford team that defeated the champions both home and away the previous season, following a demanding test against Mauricio Pochettino’s team over the weekend.

“The expectations we have against Brentford in the past, which have always been so difficult and complicated, doesn’t mean tomorrow will be easier,” he stated. “Considering their talent and style of play, tomorrow won’t be any different.”

Keeping that in mind, here is how City might lineup against Brentford, missing key players Kyle Walker and Julian Alvarez.

GK: Ederson

 CB: Ruben Dias

If Stones starts, either Dias or Manuel Akanji could drop out. The latter looks more likely given he plays a similar role to Stones.
