On Wednesday night, the Golden State Warriors lost to the LA Clippers despite holding a lead for the most of the contest. Despite having 41 points, Warriors star Steph Curry was unable to defeat the James Harden-led Clippers, who pulled off an incredible comeback in the fourth quarter.
After the game, Curry talked with media about his experiences playing against Harden, Russell Westbrook, and Paul George. All three players entered the league at roughly the same time as Curry.
It’s always unique, according to Curry. “I had the same draft as James did… had numerous back-and-forth conflicts throughout the years. We’re all still attempting to play at a high level, so hang in there, PG. There is much regard for one another. Additionally, there is fierce rivalry. I believe they feel the same way—they detest losing to them.”
Curry continued by saying that it’s comparable to the discussion that has been made over his conflicts with LeBron James and Kevin Durant since prominent players in the game who have been competing at a high level for over ten years still exist.
Curry detests losing against the Clippers and has a great deal of respect for their roster. This is particularly true given that Golden State currently has such a little margin of error in the standings, making every loss even more devastating.
