Kevin De Bruyne and Phil Foden are both shortlisted for individual awards after their fine performances at FC Copenhagen

De Bruyne is nominated for the UCL Player of the Week award, having received the Man of the Match recognition from UEFA Technical Observer Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. The Belgian contributed a goal and two assists in our 3-1 victory, providing a solid advantage for the second leg next month.

He faces competition from PSG’s Kylian Mbappe, Lazio midfielder Matteo Guendouzi, and Real Madrid’s Brahim Diaz.

On the other hand, Foden is in the running for the UCL Goal of the Week accolade. The Academy graduate scored our third goal in added time, displaying a brilliant one-two with De Bruyne in the Copenhagen box.

Foden’s goal, resulting from a well-executed play, will contend with Diaz’s winner for Real Madrid at Leipzig, Bradley Barcola’s effort for PSG, and Magnus Mattsson’s finish for Copenhagen.
