With a recent home loss to the Premier League’s bottom team, MU’s preparations for the FA Cup’s fourth round are not going well.
Man Utd recently lost a friendly match against Burnley, the penultimate Premier League team, without any fans, according to the Express newspaper. On January 24 (local time), the game was scheduled to take place at the Red Devils’ Carrington training ground.
Notably, this is Man United’s second defeat at the hands of coach Vincent Kompany’s squad in a closed-door friendly. Ten Hag’s squad even lost 0-3, back in August when the game was played at the start of the season.

The result of the most recent friendly match was kept a sеcrеt, but MU supporters were understandably unhappy and alarmed to have to concede a home loss to the 19th-place team in the Premier League. Since the FA Cup fourth round match against Newport County on January 28 will take place before them.
Despite being only the fourth-ranked team in England, MU’s recent loss to a team in the relegation playoff illustrates how unpredictable things can be before the ball is kicked. The Red Devils haven’t played well lately, to be honest.
According to statistics, MU has only triumphed in two of the previous eight games. The other victory came against Premier League opponents Aston Villa and third-place Wigan Athletic in the FA Cup third round.
Teachers and students at Ten Hag are eager to put an end to this run of bad games in order to inspire the next session. Above all, though, they have to avoid failing because that would meаn the team’s sole chance to win the title this season would be gone.
The FA Cup is currently the most practical venue for MU to concentrate on contending for the championship after the team was ousted from the Champions League and Carabao Cup and is currently positioned seventh in the Premier League. Therefore, Coach Ten Hag’s team’s season is probably going to end in January if they lose to Newport County in round 4.
