When speaking with GQ, the 25-year-old ꜱtгuck a philosophical tone, reflecting on the number of players who have left Europe in the last year, naming former Paris Saint-Germain teammates Lionel Messi and Neymar, who have moved to MLS and the Saudi Pro League, respectively, with Inter Miami and Al-Hilal.

Mbappe looks to be open to the idea of leaving European football, claiming that it will eventually be “his turn” to depart.

“Many great players who have left their mark on football history have left Europe this summer and we are entering a new era of football,” Mbappe told GQ. “It’s the normal cycle of this sport and at one point it will be my turn to leave. These changes do not concern me and I am simply thinking of continuing my career following my own path.”
